Ryan loves pushing the boundaries of artistic expression and his work is a result of the constant battle between an artist’s desire to be completely uninhibited and limitations of the physical reality.
An engineer by education, an entrepreneur by choice and storyteller by passion – Ryan’s tryst with photography started way back in 2010 involving experiments and interludes with the camera. Being an experienced musician helped him assess the similarities in the two art forms and hone skills and techniques within visual composition.
Along with learning from seasoned photographers such as Trevor and Faye Yerbury, Brooke Shaden, Luca Monti, Bruce Smith and others; Ryan studied Fashion Photography and styling from London College of Fashion. His photography work has been published in Vogue Italia and in magazine publications such as Coast.
Drawing influences from minimalism, Ryan loves playing with the human form within different shades of nature; often showcasing emotive and evocative storytelling. His process highlights strong elements of visual composition, painterly techniques and contrasting textures.
Based in between London and Mangalore, India, Ryan explores different landscapes across the world to project this work and expression. Starting off with a solo exhibition in London he now works with galleries and festivals worldwide.
